This weekly support group offers support to youth who are displaying aggressive behavior through fighting, violent outburst and other displays of aggression.
The participants are given tools needed in managing behavior by recognizing the source of anger and that anger is a normal emotion that can be managed.
Each participant is introduced to the three ways of expressing anger: Aggressiveness, Passiveness, and Assertiveness.
The participants are also instructed on recognizing and understanding consequences of out of control anger, as well as the reward of managing anger.
The group participants are also introduced to the concept of humility and the importance of smashing ego and pride that leads to unacceptable behavior.
